Zero Tolerance Policy Against Ragging
Oxford College of Research and Management
Oxford College of Research and Management maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the campus, hostels, and outside the campus premises. The institution is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Any student found guilty of ragging will face strict disciplinary action, which may include:
Suspension from the hostel and/or college
Withdrawal or expulsion from the institution
Criminal proceedings as per the guidelines of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and UGC norms
Definition of Ragging
Ragging includes, but is not limited to, any act that:
Involves physical abuse or assault
Includes lewd, indecent, or obscene behavior
Causes teasing, ridicule, or verbal abuse
Involves rough, rude, or rowdy behavior
Creates mental, emotional, or psychological trauma
Causes fear, anxiety, or insecurity in fresher or junior students
Forces a student to perform any act against their will
Results in shame, embarrassment, humiliation, or danger to life
Adversely affects the physical or psychological well-being of a fresher or any student
Anti-Ragging Measures at Oxford College of Research and Management
To prevent and eliminate ragging, the college has implemented the following measures:
Formation of a dedicated Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad
Conducting anti-ragging awareness programs, workshops, and seminars for students, faculty, and staff
Organizing orientation programs for freshers to ensure a smooth and friendly transition into campus life
Establishment of a confidential reporting and grievance redressal mechanism
Ensuring prompt inquiry and strict action against offenders
Providing counseling and support services to victims of ragging
Display of anti-ragging posters and notices at prominent locations across the campus
Inclusion of anti-ragging undertakings in the admission process and student handbook
Our Commitment
Oxford College of Research and Management is dedicated to fostering a culture of mutual respect, discipline, and harmony. Ragging in any form is a punishable offense, and the institution urges all students to cooperate in maintaining a ragging-free campus.
